A severe thunderstorm could hit Muskoka this afternoon.
Environment Canada has the district under a severe storm watch. The weather service warns the main threat may be heavy rainfall, with a possibility of up to 50mm of rain falling over an hour. Strong winds are expected as well that could down trees and cause power outages.
The storm is expected to move into the district around 5pm.
