Huntsville’s mayoral race has its first candidate.

It’s incumbent Scott Aitchison. Aitchison filed his papers last week.

He’s in his first term as Mayor of Huntsville. Aitchison picked up 3708 votes in 2014, or 45 per cent of the votes cast, which at the time, he called a “tremendous result.”

When called to give a comment on his decision to seek re-election, Aitchison declined the opportunity.  The municipal election is happening on October 22nd.
