OPP charge Huntsville woman after hit-and-run

The Huntsville OPP says it’s found the driver suspected of doing a hit and run earlier this month.

On July 8th a white cube van hit a cyclist who was taking part in the Ironman Competition on Brunel Road and then left the scene. The OPP says the impact caused the man to catapult into the air before landing on the hard gravel shoulder.

The Ironman medical team was able to tend to him immediately before he was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 47-year-old Huntsville woman has been charged with failing to share the road. The Huntsville OPP is thanking the public for its help in tracking down the suspect.
