There will be a new toll if you want to cross the Silver Bridge in Bracebridge August 4th and 5th. It will be voluntary and is the fundraising brainchild of the Bracebridge Lions.
Both the Saturday and Sunday of the long weekend in August, volunteers will be collecting tolls at the busy bridge, to help continue to support such programs as Out of the Cold, raising local hospital funds, sponsoring local sports teams as well as a bursary at both local high schools.
The Bracebridge Lions have been in operation since their inception in 1942.
