The GoFundMe account to help the displaced employees of a Port Carling Turtle Jack’s restaurant exceeded its $25,000 target in just three days.
Twenty-three employees of the chain eatery lost most of their belongings and the house they were living in following a fire last Thursday evening. Short term housing has been organized through a number of people in the small Muskoka Lakes community.
The money will be used to help with things such as new clothing, cell phones and basic toiletries.
