Don’t expect to see much reprieve at the pumps this summer.

After the long weekend pushed gas prices higher, Senior Analyst Dan McTeague says they’re not likely to drop anytime soon. In fact, McTeague says if the trend continues, prices will jump again in the second half of the summer.

Across Cottage Country the average gas price is sitting around 135 about 30 cents higher than it was last summer. The price of gas has been pushed higher as world crude output hasn’t been able to keep up with global demand.
