Health officials are making it easier for you to keep track of safe beaches in Muskoka.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has revamped its beach water page to make it easier for locals and visitors to keep track of water conditions around the area. The health unit tests water at beaches often for things like E. coli and blue-green algae. If bacteria levels are high the health unit will post a swimming advisory to warn you about the hazardous conditions.
