Students in Muskoka are racing against drugs

The OPP is hosting about 500 public and Catholic school students in the Racing Against Drugs event. Since Monday, students went to the Bracebridge Fairgrounds to participate in educational activities about drug and alcohol abuse prevention. This event is geared towards students in grades 4 and 5 with interactive displays, prizes and awards. There is also a car race scheduled for September 30th.

The OPP says the participants not only learn about the dangers of drugs and tobacco, but also explore healthy options that only exist without drugs.Community partners in this initiative includes the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit, Addiction Outreach, TLDSB, Huntsville and Bracebridge fire departments and Muskoka Ambulance.
