The Muskoka Novel Marathon is almost ready to roll. Forty writers will descend on Huntsville to take part in the annual, three-day-long writing sprint.

It’s a fundraiser for the YMCA’s Adult Literacy Programs.  Organizers say a few changes have been made to make fundraising easier for the participants. The biggest change is a revamped website.

In the 16 years the event has been around it’s raised more than $170,000 and organizers say the event has even jumpstarted the careers of many writers, some who have gone on to become published authors.

This year’s Muskoka Novel Marathon is happening on the weekend of July 13th at the Active Living Centre. You can learn more about it on this website.
