The Georgian College campus in Bracebridge has a big economic impact on Muskoka.
That’s the findings of a study by Economic Modeling Specialists International. It looked at the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Among the study’s findings are the campus and its students added $5.7 million to the Muskoka economy and supported 71 jobs.
Mayor Graydon Smith says the study confirms the significant contribution that the Muskoka Campus has on Bracebridge. He added that he believes it is a “community asset” that benefits Muskoka by preparing area youth to be “skilled, innovative thinkers who contribute to their workplace and community.”
