Habitat for Humanity has been accredited by Imagine Canada’s Standards Program. The accreditation is based on five broad categories including board governance, financial transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement. COO of Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North, Meghan Smith says, they worked hard.
Smith says 17 other organizations were also accredited at the same time as Habitat. There are more than 230 accredited not-for-profit organizations.
