OPP lays charges after suspect flees from crash involving stolen vehicle in Gravenhurst
The OPP is laying charges after a stolen vehicle was involved in a crash in Gravenhurst.
Police were called to the collision on Highway 11 North just south of Gravenhurst, but one of the drivers had reportedly run off before officers arrived. One of the vehicles involved was reportedly stolen from the York Region in December. A man with a leg injury was found in the nearby woods and was brought to the hospital.
A 43-year-old man from Toronto was arrested and is facing various charges including possession of property obtained by crime, leaving a crash scene and driving while disqualified. He’ll be in court in Bracebridge on June 8th.
