Police say an attempted motor theft has been thwarted by a GPS unit.
On Wednesday afternoon, Southern Georgian Bay OPP was called to a home in Georgian Bay Township where an outboard motor had been stolen. However, the motor had a GPS unit installed inside, which police used to track down and recover the stolen property.
Three men from Georgian Bay Township are facing theft charges and will appear in court in Midland on June 28th.
