Former Muskoka man Brennan Webb awarded Coach of the Year in US

A former Muskoka man is making his mark as a golf coach in the US.

Brennan Webb was recently awarded Coach of the Year by Conference USA for his work coaching students at Middle Tennessee State. Webb says he credits a lot of his experience to his years of playing golf in Muskoka.

Brennan started his pro golfing career after moving across the border to attend East Tennessee State. He’s competed in golf tournaments and circuits in 11 different countries. He started his coaching career at the University of South Florida in 2012, worked as an assistant coach at Georgia Tech and in 2015, accepted the head coach position at Middle Tennessee.

Webb says no matter where he goes, he can always count on his friends and family in Muskoka to cheer him on.

Webb’s father Ron spent decades teaching young golfers at the South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club before retiring in 2013.
