Police want you to watch out for washouts

The OPP is reminding drivers to be watchful for washouts and pooling on roads in Muskoka.

Police says local roads could deteriorate because of recent and forecasted rain, along with quick-melting snow and ice. Constable Philippe Regamey says drivers could come across roads that are either damaged by or covered in water.

Regamey says you need to be ready for water building up on roads, and drive accordingly.

If you come across a road that is flooded or washed-out, you are being encouraged to report it to Bracebridge, Huntsville or Southern Georgian Bay OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122. You can also report it online by clicking here.
