Muskoka Lawn Bowling Club President recognized with Volunteer of the Year award

Muskoka’s newest sports club is getting provincial recognition.

The President of Muskoka Lawn Bowling Club was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association. OLBA officials say Sally Mills’ effort is commendable getting the lawn bowling club set up in Bracebridge to provide an activity in the community that all ages can enjoy. Mills says the work for herself and her committee was tough, but they were helped by support from the community to make their dream a reality. After years of planning the club was opened at Muskoka Highlands in Bracebridge last July.

Mills invites everyone in Muskoka to give lawn bowling a try with a special beginners programs being held in May. You can find more details here.
