Ontario NDP expected to announce candidate for Muskoka-Parry Sound riding

The Ontario NDP is preparing to put its own stake in the Parry Sound-Muskoka riding.

NDP Riding President Diana McConnell says the party has plans to run in the upcoming provincial election with its own candidate in the cottage country riding. McConnell says the candidate they have in mind is currently going through the vetting process and more details are expected to be announced after a nomination meeting coming up on May 12th.

The proposed candidate would face off against the current Conservative MPP Norm Miller, Liberal candidate Brenda Rhodes, Green Party candidate Matt Richter and Ontario Libertarian candidate Christopher Packer. The Ontario election runs on June 7th.
