House sales in Cottage Country aren’t as hot as last year.
The Lakelands Association of Realtors posted its March sales numbers for waterfront and non-waterfront properties in the region. Overall 195 units were sold, down by nearly 100 from March 2017.
In Muskoka, non-waterfront property sales took the biggest dip, down ten from March 2017 to 82 this year. The average price of non-waterfront properties in Muskoka was 12 per cent higher than last March at $354,950.
There were 33 waterfront property sales in March with an average price of $626,000, which is up by nearly $100,000 from 2017.
On average, the price of waterfront properties across cottage country in March was $525,000.
