Nominations are open for your Woman of Distinction. The YWCA of Muskoka hosts this award gala event every year. Event Media Relations Catherine Cole says there are seven categories someone can be nominated for.

Other categories include the Arts, Culture and Creativity, Health, Sports and Wellness, Community Development and Social Activism, Mentorship and Business Innovation. You have until September 26thto nominate someone. Cole says the nomination process is a great time.

This year’s gala is on October 29that the Bracebridge Sportsplex and Rene Caisse Theatre. Cole says the format is going to be a little different this year.
