Late spring forces delayed opening for some Algonquin Park sites

A number of Algonquin Park campgrounds will be opening later than usual.

The announcement was made by Ontario Parks on Friday because of the late arrival of spring.

As a result, Ontario Parks says lots of campgrounds will remain closed until May 4th including the Brent, Tea Lake, Rock Lake, Whitefish, Kiosk and Achray Campgrounds as well as all backcountry campsites.

Anyone with reservations for any of those campgrounds before May 3rd can either get a full refund or change their reservation dates for free and will be contacted by Ontario Parks. You can find all the details here.
