UPDATED: Winter Storm Warning in effect for South Muskoka; Freezing rain warning issued for Sunday
A winter storm warning is in effect for the South Muskoka area including Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.
Environment Canada warns the area could see up to 20cm of snow falling by the end of today. Meteorologists say the snow should stop falling by Saturday night, but will switch to freezing drizzle.
For Huntsville, about 10cm of snow could fall over the day.
It will be gusty today as well with winds getting up to 60km/h causing blowing snow throughout the day.
Environment Canada has also issued a Freezing Rain Warning for Sunday for Muskoka. Meteorologists expect a significant amount of ice build-up across the district as freezing rain is expected to fall most of the day.
