As a major winter storm moves into Ontario, emergency officials want you to be prepared.
Environment Canada is warning the storm on Friday could bring snow and an ice storm to cottage country. Parry Sound Fire Chief Dave Thompson says having a 72-hour emergency kit on hand is a good idea.
He says you should keep the essentials in mind when packing such a kit
Thompson says if the power does go out, you shouldn’t call 9-1-1 unless you have a life-threatening emergency.
