The Town of Gravenhurst could be making the switch to LED lighting as early as next spring. In a recent meeting, staff recommended the change to save on costs. There are two options that council have to consider. The first is Local Authority Services who would act as the project manager by delivering the full lighting system, which the Town would pay for. The second option is having Real Term Energy finance the installation, operation and maintenance over a ten year period. Their investment would then be recuperated through shared energy efficiency savings.  Council will decide on the issue after an audit of the existing lighting is complete.
