Gravenhurst man fined $1,500 for building illegal roads

A Gravenhurst man has been fined $1,500 for building illegal roads. Court heard that in July the MNR investigated illegal road construction activities within the Kashe Lake Barrens Conservation Reserve. Between November 2013 and July 2014 Edward Rybacki did the work without a permit. A portion of roadway was illegally excavated and deposited onto conservation reserve land. The public is reminded that work permits are needed in cases like these. The court ruling came down in Bracebridge in August.
