Two GHS students travelling to Switzerland and Denmark through Rotary exchange program

Two Gravenhurst students will be attending classes across the ocean next school year.

Jaden Sander and Hailey Coady have been selected for the Rotary Club Exchange program. Sander will be heading to Denmark while Coady travels to Switzerland, each for a year of learning. Gravenhurst High School Head of Student Services Jen Schandlen says this is a great opportunity for these students to learn how to become Muskoka and Canadian ambassadors.

Schandlen says students that have had this opportunity in the past have always come back with a better understanding of the world outside of Muskoka.

Past students have travelled to countries like France, Denmark, Brazil, Belguim to expand their learning experience. The Gravenhurst Rotary Club has been offering this program to local students for over 40 years. Students that are selected to take part in this program usually have strong ties with their community and show promising leadership skills.
