Wednesday is World Suicide Prevention Day and a unique social media campaign’s been launched to draw attention to it. Author and former broadcast journalist Lynn Keane has started the campaign. She lost her son Daniel to suicide and says people with first-hand experience of such tragedies can help lead the conversation and raise awareness for its prevention. Survivors of suicide are using social media with the slogan #raiseHOPE in the lead up to Wednesday. People are taking to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in honour of their lost loved ones and to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
