“Gift from the Heart” day providing free dental care to Huntsville residents

You can have your pearly whites cleaned up for free next month. Two dental hygiene companies in the area are taking part in a Canada-wide initiative called “Gift From the Heart“; Dental Hygiene with Dezarae in Huntsville and Muskoka Gentle Dental in Utterson.

Owner of Dental Hygiene with Dezarae,  Dezarae Aldridge-Earl, says the initiative provides no-cost dental hygiene care to those who wouldn’t be able to afford it on their own.

Aldridge-Earl says taking care of your mouth, teeth, and gums benefits your overall physical and mental well-being.

And, she says dental hygienists are the perfect people to see about your oral health.

Aldridge-Earl says the focus for her company this year is on youth. She says anyone can apply to take part, but priority will be given to those aged three to 19. The day kicks off National Dental Hygienists Week, which Aldridge-Earl says is to remind the public of the importance of oral health. Anyone interested in taking part of the day can email Aldridge-Earl with their name and contact information to be considered. She says to have your information to [email protected] by the end of March.

April is also oral health month in Canada.
