Human remains confirmed to be of Eugene Kim
The OPP is confirming the human remains found in an abandoned car are of Eugene Kim. The 38-year-old Markham man’s car was found abandoned in Laurier Township in South River on Thursday afternoon. Human remains were found inside, but a post-mortem needed to be done before an identity could be confirmed.
Kim went missing on October 2nd, and the search had been partly focused in the Algonquin Park area. Police had found Kim’s cellphone had been used near North Bay and he was spotted buying a pass into Algonquin Park with an unknown person in October.
Kim was the father of two.
