Bracebridge is making plans to create a safer walking trail to Macauley Public School. The town announced earlier this week its plans to develop a safe walking trail to Macaulay Public School all the way up to Taylor Road along Cedar Lane. Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney says that the long overdue trail project will offer a safe commute for students and parents.
Tourists and hikers will also see the benefit of the new pathway which will link to the Wilson Falls Trail located just to the north of the downtown area off River Road.
A budget of $80,000 has been estimated for this project and Maloney says it’s worth the investment.
The project will go through a tendering process and once that is completed the town will move forward with the trail development later in 2018.
