Coping with grief through hope and empowerment is what ‘I Just Showed Up’ will discuss Saturday morning.

The event in Parry Sound is sponsored by Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement from proceeds of his Charity Golf Classic and will feature a number of guest presenters as well as activity breaks throughout the morning.

Constituency Assistant Lorraine Etler  says the session will include the B’saanibamaadsiwin program that is culturally safe for Indigenous people.

She says a traditional cleansing ceremony will also be part of the many activities.

The discussion about thriving through wellness and healthy lifestyles will be guided by guest speaker and author of ‘Love your Life to Death’ Yvonne Heath.

Kicking off the morning will be a free pancake breakfast prepared by hospitality students from Parry Sound High School.

“I Just Showed Up” takes places this Saturday, February 24 between 8:30 am and 11:30 am at the Friendship Centre at 13 Bowes Street in Parry Sound.
