OFSC and OPP officials warn riders trail conditions aren’t safe this weekend

You can expect to be seeing red if you’re looking at snowmobile trails in Muskoka.

The OFSC website has all Muskoka trails listed as unavailable following warmer-than-usual temperatures and heavy rainfall in the district.  It’s the same story across most of cottage country with trails listed as unavailable in Haliburton and Parry Sound as well. Further north in the Nipissing area there are some trails listed as having limited availability.

The OPP is warning riders it’s not worth risking your life by taking a chance on the unsafe trails. Officials say before you head out on any trail you should always check the OFSC website first for conditions.

OFSC reported trail conditions as of Feb 22
