The Simcoe-Muskoka Catholic District School Board is welcoming back 20,000 students this year. The school board has also released their projected enrolment numbers, which is seeing over 13,311 elementary students and about 6,798 high school students attend one of their 50 catholic schools. The numbers won’t be confirmed until after school start-up, but the board says they are happy with the numbers they’re seeing so far. Another stat they board is happy about is the 1,181 new Junior Kindergarten students. The board has implemented the full-day Kindergarten program for all their schools for the first time this year.
