Huntsville comes together in show of support for Dara Howell

Huntsville is showing its hometown pride for a local girl with an Olympic-sized life

Hundreds of residents packed Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Resort Friday night to cheer on Dara Howell during her second run at the Olympic Winter Games. Manager Courtney Payne says the business is proud to be the hub of such an amazing show of community support.

Howell’s grandmother Sandy Raven says the support doesn’t go unnoticed by the family.

Moose FM will also be showing it’s Dara Pride as the Huntsville station changes its name to Dara FM on Tuesday. Moose FM Program Director Dave Newman says Howell is an example to everyone of what hard-work, dedication and determination can achieve, and she embodies the Huntsville spirit and what it means to be Canadian.
