The town wants to help clear the air on Ontario’s Building Code by offering an easy breakdown of what you need to know before you pick up that hammer. Chief Building Official Andy Jones says they’ve released an online building guide and will also be holding public information sessions.
He says they’re waiting on the province to update the building code for 2019 before setting a date for this meeting.
Jones says there are still some building rules that might fall through the cracks so he’s encouraging builders to pick up the phone if you don’t understand something. He says the building division is always happy to help.
