Be careful on the roads around Muskoka tonight. That’s the message behind Environment Canada’s travel advisory, which is in effect for all of Muskoka as well as Parry Sound. The weather service says bands of heavy flurries are rolling through from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay tonight. We could be seeing around five centimetres, but it’s possible some areas will get 10 centimetres and snow squalls.

Environment Canada says if you’re driving tonight, give yourself extra time to get to your destination. It says the winter driving conditions are poor because of sudden low visibility in bursts of heavy snow.

The conditions are expected to be better by the morning.
