Huntsville hospital’s cast room and adjacent hallway in the emergency department are closed for the time being. Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is replacing flooring, and the areas will be shut down until February 26th. Patients may notice longer wait times, because MAHC says the closure means the department is working with six fewer treatment areas. There may also be limits for the number of patient visitors because of the limited space.
MAHC CEO Natalie Bubela says staff is doing its best to minimize the disruption and impact on patient flow. MAHC had similar restrictions in place back in November, also for flooring replacements.
