Construction at the Bala Falls is moving into the blasting phase in March.
Swift River Energy construction crews are expected to start blasting rock in March as work on the hydroelectric dam continues. Blasting is expected to run until June to clear rock for a powerhouse. Officials say properties within 200 metres have been surveyed to document conditions before blasting starts.
Overall, the construction project is expected to run until 2019.
