Over 350 Lake of Bays homes are going to be in the dark on Tuesday. Hydro One has two planned outages scheduled for tomorrow in order to replace hydro poles.
The first is from 9:00am until noon and the second is from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
This outage was originally set for January 30th but Hydro One pushed it back to February 6th.
The power company reminds the public to stay away from any downed power lines or equipment. Local fire officials say to take extra care if you’re going to light candles, or if you’re using a generator. Make sure the generator is outside and not in an attached garage or basement, because the carbon monoxide it emits can be very dangerous.
