UPDATE: Power has been restored.
Lakeland Power officials say over 1,200 are without power in Bracebridge this afternoon.
The outage is affecting homes on Wellington Street, Manitoba and Muskoka Road 118 West. Officials say there’s no estimated time for restoration of this outage.
A caller to the MyMuskokaNow newsroom reported hearing an explosion at a group of transformers near the Rexall Pharma Plus before noon.
