A winter carnival in Bracebridge is getting the thumbs up from the younger crowd.
Fire and Ice kicked off its third run in Muskoka this past weekend. The MyMuskokaNow newsroom caught up with some of the younger visitors to find out why it’s so popular.
Organizer Tracy Larkman says they had a bit of a dip in the number of visitors with over 10,000 compared to 13,000 last year. She says that was likely due to uncertainty over what the weather would be doing that day. She says they’ll be confirming these numbers for town officials in the next few days.
Larkman says the event was still a success as over half of the visitors were coming from outside of Muskoka.
