Your municipal taxes could be going up about $6 in Muskoka Lakes.
Township officials have released the proposed operational and capital budgets for 2018. The cost to residents would add about 8.6 per cent or $5.50 on the tax bill for a $100,000 home. The township has been trying to figure out a way to cover the rising costs for roads and other infrastructure in the municipality.
The budget will be reviewed by township councillors on Wednesday at 9am in Port Carling. You can read more on the proposed budget here.
