All Muskoka buses cancelled this morning

Buses across Muskoka are being cancelled ahead of a major freezing rain storm.

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board has cancelled all buses. This includes buses to St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School and Saint Mary and Monsignor Michael O’Leary Catholic Elementary Schools.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Service has cancelled its buses as well. These are all the areas affected:

Britt and Nobel | Mactier, Humphrey, Rosseau | McDougall/Whitestone | East Parry Sound North – North of and including Hwy 522
-Port Loring/Restoule
-Nipissing/Commanda
-Powassan/Trout Creek | East Parry Sound South – South of Hwy 522
-South River/Sundridge
-Burk’s Falls/Magnetawan
-Katrine/Emsdale/Kearney/Sprucedale/Novar | Town of Parry Sound | Redbridge/Thorne | Trout Lake / Four Mile Lake Rd | Callander, Bonfield, East Ferris | West Nipissing Ouest | North Bay | HWY 11 North | Mattawa

Officials say schools may still be open despite these cancellations. Muskoka Montessori School and Muskoka Christian School are both closed today. Monck Public School in Bracebridge says all winter electives have been cancelled for today.
