You can learn more about how Muskoka plans to use its 2018 tax funds.

This week, councillors will be reviewing the budgets for each of the District of Muskoka departments. Muskokans are invited to sit in on these meetings and have your say. Here is a list of each meeting time and day for this week:

  • Engineering and Public Works, Wednesday at 9am
  • Community Services, Wednesday at 1:30pm
  • Planning and Development, Thursday at 9am
  • Corporate and Emergency Services, Thursday at 1pm

All meetings will be held at the District of Muskoka office on Pine Street in Bracebridge.

On January 31st, district councillors will come together again to review the entire budget one last time. The proposed increase for the district portion of your 2018 tax bill is 1.3 per cent. That’s about $12 more on a $300,000 home. You can find more details on the proposed budget here.
