Puck drops on a Huntsville Girls Hockey Association tournament Friday morning

The 41st annual Huntsville Girls Hockey Association tournament gets underway this week. There are games happening throughout Muskoka; two ice pads are being used in Huntsville, and games will also happen in Baysville and Burk’s Falls. The girls are hosting more than 60 teams from across Ontario, including from Caledon, Oakville, Barry’s Bay and Barrie.

Teams from various levels of hockey are playing, including all levels of house league, Midget B & BB, and Senior C. There will be medals for the championship and finalists, as well a team award for most sportsman-like. There will also be a silent auction running throughout the tournament.

The puck drops on the first game at 10:00am Friday morning, and the tournament wraps up on Sunday afternoon. The full schedule is on the HGHA website.
