Former Huntsville teacher accused of professional misconduct with student

A former Huntsville teacher is being accused of having an inappropriate student relationship.

The Ontario College of Teachers is alleging Kirsten Corson is guilty of professional misconduct involving an incident with a male student at a Huntsville school in 2007. A document from the OCT claims Corson allegedly ‘engaged in a personal and/or sexual relationship’ with the student. The OCT has not provided any details on which school she was teaching at in Huntsville. Corson resigned from the Trillium Lakelands District School Board in 2010.

A hearing date still needs to be set for Corson to appear before the OCT discipline committee. TLDSB officials say they cannot comment on the accusations against this teacher.
