The OPP is reminding local builders and contractors to take security precautions on job sites. The safety warning comes after the police got a call about mischief at a construction site on Skyhills Road in Huntsville. Sometime overnight on December 28th, culprits tried to get on the property and damaged a lock in the process.
The OPP says contractors should take the time to secure property, equipment and tools on sites. It also says surveillance cameras could come in handy to help identify anyone of interest in and around the job site.
If anyone saw anything suspicious on Skyhills Road or any other construction site, call the OPP at 705-789-5551 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
