Winter weather not expected to hit Muskoka too hard this weekend

If you’re planning on travelling south of Muskoka this weekend it could get snowy.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says a storm coming off of Georgian Bay on Friday isn’t going to impact Muskoka. But, he says if you’re travelling towards Barrie or further south you should be prepared for tricky road conditions.

However, if you’re planning Christmas Day, Coulson says Muskoka is expected to get hit by some snow squalls.

Next week is going to be cold again as the daytime highs aren’t expected to get above minus seven. Coulson says that cold snap could stretch right into the New Year. You can keep up to date on all road and weather conditions with the MyMuskokaNow Newsroom.
