Help the South Muskoka Bears fill nets with more than just pucks this weekend

It’s not too late to help a family in need this Christmas in Muskoka.

The South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association is collecting donations for the Salvation Army during a few games this weekend at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena. Instead of bringing in your ticket money, officials are asking you to bring non-perishable food or an unwrapped toy. These donations will be collected at the gate during Bears games on Friday night and over Saturday. The organization is also collecting Christmas gift donations for teens including clothes, gift cards, and electronics.

The Salvation Army is using these types of donations to fill their Christmas Hampers for families that need some help over the holidays.

South Muskoka will also be holding an open public skate after the last Bears game on Saturday around five.
