South Muskoka brings the giving spirit during the Moose FM Salvation Army Radiothon

A lot of families in Muskoka will be getting the support they need this holiday season.

Following three days of fundraising, Moose FM and the Salvation Army in Bracebridge have raised $100,587 through the annual Christmas Wish radiothon.

Salvation Army Lieutenant Ian Robinson says he’s amazed how much the community came together once again to support this important initiative.

Robinson says every dollar collected will be benefitting Salvation Army programs in both Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.

During the radiothon volunteers also collected hundreds of dollars in non-perishable food, clothing and toy donations at Your Independent Grocer in Bracebridge.

The Moose FM Christmas Wish Radiothon is part of a larger initiative by Moose FM’s parent company Vista Radio, which tries to raise a million dollars for a variety of different charities across Canada in one week.
