Bracebridge looks to add sponsor ship stake in 2018 Ontario Winter Games
Bracebridge is putting a stake in the upcoming Ontario Winter Games.
The games will be hosted in Orillia in March, but Bracebridge is running swimming and Wushu, a western form of Kung-fu. These events would be hosted at the Sportsplex. The winter games are expected to generate about $6 million in tourism dollars for Orillia and the surrounding communities like Muskoka. The town wants to show support for this event and help bring more tourism dollars to Bracebridge by becoming a sponsor. This would cost about $5,000 on the 2018 budget. Councillors will be reviewing this option at the upcoming meeting next Wednesday.
